A Look At Season 2 Of The White Lotus With Jennifer Coolidge
A new batch of photos gives viewers a closer look at the next installment of The White Lotus, which trades the lush beaches of Hawaii for the sweeping landscapes of Sicily. This photo shows cast members Aubrey Plaza, F. Murray Abraham, Theo James, and Meghann Fahy checking in for their stay at another White Lotus resort in season two of the Emmy award-winning series.
Jennifer Coolidge, who earned an Emmy nomination for playing Tonya McQuoid in season one, returns as a familiar face among the newcomers. Coolidge's return to the Mike White-created series isn't just exciting for us. Her executive producer David Bernard calls her "the f--king greatest" to The Hollywood Reporter on Aug. 15.
In a photo posted on Twitter by HBO, Coolidge can be seen arriving on the Italian coast wearing a chic floral dress. Sabrina Impacciatore is also shown welcoming guests to White Lotus Resort in a photo from season two. Despite seeing a familiar face in The White Lotus season two, don't be fooled, it's a different season.
It's a different idea in season two that I'm most proud of," Bernard explains. "Season one is very specific to Hawaii, while season two is very specific to Sicily and the issues that exist - Sicily's cultural and thematic ideas are very different from Hawaii's."A total of 20 Emmy nominations were given to The White Lotus during the first season, including nominations for Outstanding Limited Series, Outstanding Writing, and Outstanding Directing.
