The star told E! "I think it will be Sean Astin," Daily Pop exclusively reported at the Los Angeles premiere on August 16. "I just think he's the most wonderful fan, and he has maintained such passion and joy over the years. He holds a special place in my heart."
Benjamin Walker, who plays High King Gil-galad on the show, said he'd love to have a drink with Sir Ian McKellan. "We don't have to talk about Tolkien," he told Francesca Amiker of Daily Pop. The only thing I want to do is hang out."
During the premiere red carpet, Walker discussed Tolkien's stories and their impact on pop culture. In Tolkien, we all wrestle with the fundamental battle between good and evil," the 40-year-old said. Now and then, it's nice to see hope triumph." The new series will reveal more about Gil-galad, who appeared briefly in The Fellowship of the Ring, as well as Galadriel.
The Daily Pop spoke with Markella Kavenagh about her favorite part of playing Eleanor "Nori" Brandyfoot. According to the actress, her curiosity is what drives her. Despite all the resistance she faces from everyone around her, she sticks to what she believes in."
