The Women's Soccer Team received a sweet video message from Princess Charlotte and Prince William
From a royally adorable cheerleader, a royally sweet send-off! In a rare video message, Princess Charlotte wished good luck to England's women's soccer team in their match against Germany in the UEFA Women's Euro 2022 Final at Wembley Stadium in London on July 31.
In the clip, filmed outdoors and posted on his family's Instagram page, the Duke of Cambridge, president of the Football Association, wishes the Lionesses the best of luck tonight. "You have done an amazing job in the competition, and we are rooting for you all the way."
As she sat with her dad, Charlotte said, "Good luck! I hope you win. Bye!" Her father wore a blue button-down shirt, while the princess, 7, wore a navy and white floral print T-shirt by Spanish brand Losan.
As a response to the Instagram post, the Lionesses wrote, "Thank you so much!" Later, William attended the game. Germany was defeated 2-1 by England. On Instagram, the duke wrote, "Sensational.".
He wrote, "We couldn't be prouder of the @lionesses tonight. It was wonderful to see history being made at Wembley. Congratulations!"During a visit to the Lionesses in June, William told the team, "Charlotte wanted me to tell you that she is a real goal machine.' She told me, 'Please tell them that.' She is a budding star."
As part of his visit, he received personalized soccer jerseys for Charlotte and her sons Prince George, 9, and Prince Louis, 4. Charlotte had also met William and received an England shirt from the Lionesses when she was just two weeks old in 2015.
