What is Milly Alcock's age

The first HBO Game of Thrones successor series has finally arrived after many months of anticipation. It is to be noted that House of the Dragon represents the beginning of the end for House Targaryen, taking them from the height of their power into the thick of a brutal civil war that is referred to as the Dance of the Dragons.

In contrast to Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon will be firmly focused on one family, with successive generations of the Targaryen family taking their turn in the spotlight as the series progresses. A key player is Rhaenyra Targaryen, who is named as the heir to the Iron Throne early on before her claim is challenged.

Several actors play Rhaenyra in House of the Dragon, including Emma D'Arcy as an adult and Milly Alcock as a teenager. In House of the Dragon, Rhaenyra is only a young woman when we first meet her, but time passes quickly. Throughout the series, we'll see Rhaenyra transform from a girl who can't wait to ride her dragon Syrax and escape the responsibilities of the court into a cold-blooded contender for power.

Rhaenyra's younger years will make up about half of the season, played by Alcock. Even though Rhaenyra is in her early teens at the series' outset, we'll see her grow up as the show progresses. As of this writing, Milly Alcock is around 22 years old, eight years younger than Emma D'Arcy, the character she portrays. As Rhaenyra goes through the various challenges of being part of the Targaryen royal family, being slightly older than her character will no doubt be helpful to her.
