A cause of death has been revealed for General Hospital actress Lindsey Pearlman
There have been several details surfacing about Lindsey Pearlman in the months since she passed away. The General Hospital actress' death - which was confirmed on Feb. 18 after she went missing in the early hours of the morning - was ruled a suicide, according to a coroner's report obtained by E! News on Aug. 16. Previously, authorities issued a missing persons alert for Lindsey around noon local time on Feb. 13 in Los Angeles about a missing person alert.
As a result of the police alert issued at the time, her family and friends grew increasingly concerned because they had not heard from her since she was last seen on Feb. 13. Police noted that she had failed to return home, which caused them to become concerned.
The death of Lindsey was confirmed by Lindsey's cousin Savannah Pearlman on Feb. 18. "I'm thoroughly saddened to report that the police have found Lindsey, but it was too late," she wrote in a tweet. "I have no further information about the location or circumstances surrounding Lindsey's death."
Lindsey Pearlman's agent stated to E! News following the news of Lindsey's death on Monday, stating, "We are deeply saddened by Lindsey Pearlman's passing today and are asking for privacy during this difficult time while their family processes and grieves Lindsey's passing."
Aside from her roles in the series Chicago Justice and General Hospital, Lindsey was also known for writing, producing, and starring in several projects that included Empire, Sneaky Pete, American Housewife, Selena: The Series, and The Purge anthology series as well as playing other roles.
